Why is there a label matrix?
In the case of the Vivo! Touch label printer, the label matrix is left in place on the liner when the Vivo! Touch prints “full-bleed” (from edge-to-edge on the label shape), in order to absorb stray toner that might harm the printer. In other cases, the matrix is left in place when die-cut shapes have very extreme dimensions that make them difficult to pass through a press. If your special die-cut shape requires the matrix, your Media Specialist will advise you.
The QuickPeel System is composed of two units:
A “dual rewinder” unit peels the matrix away from the labels while neatly winding the matrix onto a core for disposal. A second unit simultaneously rewinds the finished labels onto a roll, ready for use on a label applicator or any other equipment.
