Label Matrix Removal System

QuickPeel Label Matrix Removal SystemWhy is there a label matrix?

In the case of the Vivo! Touch label printer, the label matrix is left in place on the liner when the Vivo! Touch prints “full-bleed” (from edge-to-edge on the label shape), in order to absorb stray toner that might harm the printer. In other cases, the matrix is left in place when die-cut shapes have very extreme dimensions that make them difficult to pass through a press. If your special die-cut shape requires the matrix, your Media Specialist will advise you.

The QuickPeel System is composed of two units:

A “dual rewinder” unit peels the matrix away from the labels while neatly winding the matrix onto a core for disposal. A second unit simultaneously rewinds the finished labels onto a roll, ready for use on a label applicator or any other equipment.

The QuickPeel™ Label Matrix Removal System is a tabletop device used to remove the “label matrix.” Label matrix is excess label material that surrounds die-cut label shapes. After the QuickPeel™ removes the matrix, the die-cut labels are exposed on the liner just as they are on any finished strip of labels. The system also winds the finished label material onto rolls, ready to be used on an automatic label applicator.
